When not in use, don't hesitate to stuff your hat with newspaper balls to preserve its original shape, and protect it from sun and dust with a cotton bag. It's also important to store your hat properly: a slightly damp place is ideal, so place it upside down, making sure the brim doesn't touch any surface.
Avoid folding your hat, as this will give it a bad shape. However, if you want to travel with your hat, you can roll it up, but only for a short time. We strongly advise you not to leave your hat rolled up during the winter.
In the event of a stain: clean your hat with a clean, soft, damp cloth and leave to air-dry in direct sunlight.
For leather parts, you can use a special leather stain remover, testing first on a hidden side. For grease stains, you can apply terre de Sommières. If your hat has unfortunately been used in the rain, we advise you to turn the inner protective band inside out and keep the leather parts as far away from the raffia as possible. Air-dry it and avoid laying it flat.
